ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya - The Bhagavata College | Europe

We are located in the hills of the Bavarian Forest, at ISKCON Jandelsbrunn, Simhachalam Temple, Germany. Simhachalam is a Hare Krishna farm and pilgrimage center where Śrī Śrī Prahlad Lakshmi Narasimhadeva are worshiped according to ancient Vedic rituals. Since 1982, a high standard of worship has been continuously maintained. Formerly known as Nava Jiyada Nrisimha Kshetra, Simhachalam is the oldest ISKCON temple in Germany. Established in 1978, it is also unique as it is the only ISKCON Narasimha Temple in Europe and the powerful atmosphere of this Holy Tirtha is palpable, due to the powerful presence of Their Lordship.

ISKCON Jandelsbrunn is a flourishing and sustainable Krishna conscious community developing into a joyful village that is focused on teaching a simpler and more natural way of life under the lotus feet of Śrī Śrī Prahlada Lakshmi Narasimhadeva. All this with the aim of serving as a model that more people will follow throughout Europe and beyond.

Guided by the desire of Śrīla Prabhupāda, our aim is to provide opportunities for ISKCON devotees residing in Europe, Africa and the United Kingdom for studying, practicing and spreading the teachings of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. This, combined with the study of the writings of the Gaudiya Vaishnava Acharyas, will help the devotee community to develop a taste for studying Śrīla Prabhupādas books and equip them with knowledge, understanding and realization for achieving the mission of human life.

To enlighten the ignorant population in this Age of quarrel and hypocrisy, Kali Yuga, with the wisdom of the Bhāgavata Purana and to propagate the blissful spiritual culture of Krishna-bhakti and rasa, which is enjoyed therein, to establish Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam as the fundamental guiding ideology for the unification of human society in peace, friendship, prosperity and the common cause.

We envision nurturing dynamic teachers equipped with knowledge, expertise, devotional character and vision who will spread the teachings of the Bhagavad-gītā, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and Śrī Caitanya-Caritāmṛta to the society at large and thus re-establish the fundamental spiritual values and culture in the society.

It is therefore a cultural presentation for (the) re-spiritualisation of the entire human society
ISKCON Founder Acharya, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda

To accomplish the above mission, we facilitate online and on-site education and philosophical training for residential and non-residential students through traditional Vedic and innovative educational methods.
